M-BUS CONTROL SYSTEMS

All meters, connected to the M-Bus system, can be read centrally by the following ways: either directly fromthe meter, or by data transmission to an extermal control device. It increases the quality of life of the users and allows the observation of the energy balance of the building in a more flexible manner. M-Bus is a communication protocol, compliant with the TS EN 1434-3 standard, and is used for the transmission of meter data.

It is used to read the meters with an M-Bus interface, measuring the consumtion values at locations with central heating, central hot water utilization and central hot water utilization, from a single center.

An M-Bus communication line (single line) is installed through the shafts of the building. All meters shunt to the M-Bus communication line. And the M-Bus main communication line is connected via a single input to the converter in the reading centre.

The data of all meters is read within 0,5 seconds and an accuracy of 100%. Later it is possible to read the data of all meters either from a single point or from anywhere on the world by a GSM module which connects to the M-Bus convertor module when desired.

Different from the automation system used with pulse output; teher is no need for a separate line for each meter.

Only one main communication line is used at the M-Bus protocol. It is easy to collect the data of all devices at one centre thanks to this single communication line. It is easy to implement and the initial investment costs are low.

In case of a failure is the location of the failure detected by the M-Bus system and easily intervened. The operating costs are low due to these reasons.

The M-Bus protocol, standardized in 1997, is compliant with the TS EN 1434-3 standard. Thus, there is no dependency on a single organization for the reading services. The user is free to obtain reading and cost notifications with his own personnel or from any organization authorized to read.

It is possible to perform the readings at any time from any centre.

Not only the information regarding any possible failures and interruptions is notified by the reading via M-Bus, but also the location of the failure.

Up-to-date data can ve acquired from meters with M-Bus.

The reading speed is high.

The architectural structure of the building doesn’t affect the reading speed.

There is 0 reliability at the data transmission.

It is possible to design the topology, meaning the connection structure of the communication line, in different types. These are star, tree and linear structures. The total main line length can be up to 4 km depending on the conditions.
