DAF Energy provides students two apprenticeship periods, being the winter and summer months. Applicant students are accepted to the apprenticeship according to the interview with the Human Resources Department. The goal at the apprenticeships is to support the students at their career selections and individual development and at the same time to assign them to positions, where they can contribute the company value.
Winter Term Apprenticeships
It is expected that the last class students of the vocational or trade high schools place the applications for their winter term at last until the end of July. The apprenticeship, with starts with the begin of the educational year lasts until the end of the schools, being 2 days at the school and 3 days at BMB in the week.
Summer Term Apprenticeships
It is expected that university and vocational school of higher education students place the applications for their summer term at last until the end April. The deployment is performed within the contingent, including our Istanbul Hadquarters and plants. The apprenticeships are realized during the months June, July, August and September. The prioritization of the applications is performed according to the criterions below.
Prioritization of the Applications
Mandatory apprenticeship requirement is seeked for.
Undergraduate university students having completed the 3rd grade and entitled for the 4th grade, vocational schoolof higher education students having completed the 1st grade and entitled for the 2nd grade are evaluated with priority compared with the other grades.
The training of the children of employees is prioritized as indicated in the collective bargaining.
Due to the fact that the mandatory apprenticeships are in the 1st and 2nd grade in the undergraduate departments of some universities, also the applications of undergraduate students having completed the 1st or 2nd grade are assessed within the contingent with the provision to present an apprenticeship document.
The applications of undergraduate and graduate students, studying in departments without any mandatory apprenticeship are assessed when there should be unoccupied apprenticeship positions.
The applications of persons, who were apprentices within the entiy of DAF Energy before, will not be prioritized in order to assure the equality of opportunity.
